Broadway.com has name Dan their Broadway Star of the Year:

In a year that saw plenty of big stars trying their luck on Broadway, a few special people rose above the pack as deserving candidates for the ultimate accolade: Star of the Year. You, our readers, decided the winner.

Daniel Radcliffe was voted Star of the Year 2008 by the readers of Broadway.com, winning the title over a field that included the stars of [title of show] (Hunter Bell, Susan Blackwell, Heidi Blickenstaff and Jeff Bowen), Brian d’Arcy James, Patti LuPone, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Kelli O’Hara. Radcliffe is currently making his Broadway debut in the starring in the Broadway revival of Peter Shaffer’s Equus as Alan Strang, the troubled teen whose obsession with horses leads to a shocking crime.

Thank you so much to all those who voted! This is a really lovely Christmas gift to Dan from his fans, thanking him for his amazing work and for his never-ending kindness and generosity.

As always, Dan is both gracious and grateful towards his supporters: Radcliffe offered a special message to the fans who voted for him: “Thank you very much, you guys! I can always count on you. The fans are awesome.”

And don't forget to click on Read Daniel's Picks for the Best of 2008 just under the photo to discover some of the highlights of Dan's year.

Many thanks to Maria for the great news! Bravo! Now bring on the Tony Awards!!!

First and foremost, everyone here at DanRadcliffe.com would like to wish all of our readers a very happy, healthy and safe holiday.

It has been our pleasure serving you this year, and we look forward to doing so for many more to come. You are all like one big cyber-family and it has been wonderful watching each of you grow and connect over the course of our online existence, as we have grown, learned and matured some as well.

Life has a funny way of dealing certain cards during a year, this year with the economic woes and other such trials and tribulations that some of you have written to me about. It is important to remember however, especially at this time of year, that these events do not define us, they enhance our dynamic of character and perseverance of spirit. That is why I am going to open things up a little bit for those of you who did not have the money to make a donation this year.

Before I explain, I want to say thank you to those of you who have donated to the Candle for Care project thus far -- all amounts are welcome and appreciated! Even one pound helps, and we have had donations for that amount, so don't feel it isn't worth it.

I'd also like to take this time to let all of you know that donations will now be accepted through noon on Sunday. So, if you have not had the chance to donate, or needed more time as some people did, you can now send them in to me by then. For more information on donating, please click on the Read More link below.

For those of you who cannot afford to donate this year, for whatever reason, there is another way you may get your wish into the Holiday Book for Daniel. And it won't cost you a penny. If you look up at that little photo in the post up there you will see what my search screen looks like when I search the web. This is because I use EveryClick.com as my search engine. Every time you search you raise money for your selected charity.

I invite you to utilize this free service and start making "donations" to Demelza just by searching the Internet. The sign up is free, and so is the searching. If you do decide to do this, take a screen shot of your search page -- like mine up there -- and This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and I will let that count as your donation to Demelza. Make sure you send in your wish to Daniel along with it as well!

Although those sending in EveryClick screen caps will have their wishes included in the Holiday Book to Daniel, it is important to note that only actual donators will be included in the prize draw (click on the Read More link for more information on that). I just want to make sure you are aware of that up front.

On another note, Sabine has made a little wallpaper goodie for all fans to enjoy as a little holiday cyber-present to everyone: Wallpaper.

Just so you know, I have given our staff today and tomorrow off for Christmas so they can be with their families and friends without their mind being somewhere else. News posting will resume on Friday once the bows and ribbons have settled.

Hope everyone has a wonderful and cheerful holiday this season, no matter which one you are celebrating. May the new year bring you much hope and joy. *cough* *hack* Oh, sorry ... mushball. All that gooshy stuff doesn't seem to agree!!! And you thought I was all grown up!Tongue out

Anyway poppets, have a very Merry and a kick-a$$ New Year!
