Coins for Kids
Coins for kids is a year-round fundraising endeavor
that we encourage all of our readers to do, created by DanRadcliffe.com
reader, Cathy Fusco. The object of this Fundraiser is to save all
your loose coins during the year and make one or two big donation(s)
to Demelza House either for Dan's birthday or for Christmas.
Cathy first started this idea in 2005, and a wee
group of five people managed to save $425.00 of loose change to
donate to Demelza House for Christmas. As Cathy has noted, "These
days, donating money can be a real challenge, especially when we
spend dollars, but make dimes. But of course the answer is right
in your pocket! Grab a jar, and throw in those unwanted, unused
coins...or how about that penny lying in the street, those are "Pennies
from Heaven," and what better use for those pennies than to
save them for Demelza House. I will guarantee you will have enough
money to make a very generous donation."
It really is that simple! It is so easy to toss those
loose coins into a jar, and amazingly, they do add up! This is one
of the easiest ways to donate money for a worthy cause; and in the
end you know in your heart that you did a good thing.
Want to donate now?
Go ahead! You can donate at anytime during the year; and all donations,
no matter how big or how small, are greatly appreciated!
~ Thanks to Christy.
